Event Coordination
2024–2025 Brooklyn, NY

In collaboration with María Semidey, Mariana Colmenares, Isabel Campbell-Gross, and Michael Kelly

Created, evolved, and implemented visual identity, brand, and collateral for NYC Councilmember (D35) Crystal Hudson’s Participatory Budgeting initiative over the course of almost two years.

From a simple desire to represent the diverse nature of District 35 came the collage/patchwork imagery with bright accent colors — we wanted something her community could recognize and resonate with in this identity, hence the inclusion of real photographs of neighborhoods and people.

District 35 encompasses Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, and Crown Heights — a large area that we wanted to help make informed decisions on their own community.

Products designed & delivered:
BRANDING + VISUAL IDENTITY
Including logos, collages, color palettes, visual elements (illustrations), and typography to name a few.
PRINT MATERIALS
From digest flyers to full-size laminated maps to brochures — all intended to be handed to residents to inform them.
SOCIAL MEDIA + WEB CONTENT
Posted on Crystal Hudson’s Instagram to let constituents know when and how to vote as well as what projects could be funded.
PHOTOS + VIDEOS
From around the community of people, places, and funded sites. These supplemented our visual identity as well as gave us the chance to speak to constituents firsthand.
